Marcy Braiker has been an outstanding producer in the field of real estate for over 25 years. During her career, she has specialized in selling estate residences on the Westside of Los Angeles . Her area of expertise ranges from the Hollywood Hills to the Pacific Ocean, including the communities of Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Holmby hills,Westwood, Santa Monica, and Brentwood.
Due to her longevity in real estate, Marcy has experienced many different market cycles, and has a wealth of knowledge in dealing with complicated transactions. Born in Los Angeles, Marcy is a true Native of California. She grew up in Brentwood, and attended University High School. She then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado. After graduating college, Marcy returned to California, and worked as a Social Worker for Aid to Families with Dependent Children, carrying a case load of 70 families, and as a Public Relations Specialist for Regional Medical Programs at the University of California, San Francisco. After returning to Los Angeles, Marcy began her real estate career, and feels that working with a broker who is native in the area has its distinct advantages.
In addition to being a successful real estate broker with Sotheby's International Realty in Beverly Hills, Marcy was the Centennial President of the Century City Rotary Club. She is also on the boards of directors of: the Westside Philharmonic Association, supporting our world renowned orchestra and its charitable events, Kids with a Cause (where celebrity children give back to the community) and the Benedict Canyon Home Owners Association. She is also a laiason member to the Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our beautiful canyons and a member of the Coaition of Neighborhood Homeowners Associations forLos Angeles District 5. She was awarded the distinction of "Woman of Achievement" this year by the Century City Chamber of Commerce, and nominated by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a "Woman Making A Difference."
Marcy is married to Barry Braiker, an Orthopedic Surgeon, who also is a Native of Los Angeles,and has his practice in Beverly Hills. They have two sons, Brian who is a journalist, writing for Newsweek Magazine in New York, and Justin who is a Vice President of the Trust Company of The West in downtown Los Angeles.
